Umm, I'll take one of each…
We did our yearly jaunt with friends this year to the Wausau area Parade of Homes for our much needed yearly inspiration and laughs. Inspiration came from each home we visited. Laughs came from the wives watching the DH's navigate the Parade of Homes map.
Oh my. Some of them were beautiful! I'll spare you the mundane ones and go right to the top first.
Jeremy Voigt homes. Yes, please.
Today I'm featuring two of the 12 of homes – they are both by Jeremy Voigt.
This guy is an artist, not just a home builder.
Each year we look forward to his designs – he never disappoints.
The walk-in showers are quite popular still, though we are seeing a trend.
They are getting smaller, which is a good sign. You can still have luxury on a smaller scale.
The doorless walk-in shower is our some day upgrade for our master bath. Hint, hint, Andrew…
Notice how the reflection in the mirror is classy as well? The devil IS in the details.
Same here. Every view. Every position. Beauty.
Check out the square bowl and the faucet's water pump look.
My DH keeps telling me it would be a nightmare to clean.
Such a curmudgeon.
Marc and Mark…here it is! This is what your wives are talkin' about!
This is the hottest door design on the market today.
Barn door hardware is pretty pricey, but hopefully our friend, Marc will make it for us to cut down on cost.
This is going to be a DIY project for us. Well, OK, for one of the Mark(c)s.
Here is another trend – the industrial look paired with antique lighting.
I can just picture the guys sitting around eating lunch on the construction site and one of the guys gets an idea – light bulb above the head sorta thing (pun intended). Then the same guy has another idea when in a room in the new house…
Can you guess what this is used for? I'll give you a hint – something round slides onto it…
Next is the mirror from another room – so creative!
The view from this sink would keep me in suds all day! To the left is a dreamy glass shower. Talk about a view!
(Pun intended, again)
I'm wondering if the all glass shower would be annoying after a while – you know, the ever present finger prints and water spots.
Anyone have experience with this?
The hard water at our house in Kalamazoo nearly drove us to insanity.
No house is complete without a water fall.
Sometimes the simplest things make a room warm and inviting.
This is the basement. Oh boy. I could live down here.
Mom, you want one of these in your kitchen?
Jeremy. Ya done good.
Stay tuned for more.
…and no, Jeremy didn't pay me anything to feature his houses.
